The filter faucets in the Franke Vital range all operate under a standard mains high-pressure system (generally around 3 bar). The patented filtration system uses mini-capsule filter technology integrated directly into the faucet spout, thus avoiding cluttering the cabinet under the sink. There are two main types of interchangeable filter cartridges for this system, to be chosen according to your water quality and needs.

Vital High-Performance Filters: Technology: They combine an ultra-thin nanotechnology membrane with activated carbon. Performance: This is the highest level of filtration. They retain up to 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, as well as microplastics, pesticide residues, hormones, chlorine, and rust. Note: Due to the extremely fine mesh of the membrane, the flow rate of filtered water may be slightly lower, which is perfectly normal. Vital High Flow Filters Technology: Filtration via a double layer of expanded activated carbon, without the ultra-thin nanotechnology membrane.

Performance: They effectively filter chlorine, odors, sediment, drain residue, and rust. They do not block viruses or microplastics. Recommendation: Ideal if your tap water contains a lot of suspended sediment or limescale that could prematurely clog the High Performance filter, or if you have low water pressure. They guarantee a smooth and continuous water flow (approximately 3.5 L/min at 3 bars). Capacity: Each capsule has a filtration capacity of 500 liters of water (approximately 3 to 4 months of daily use). Replacement: Very simple and quick, simply unscrew the metal capsule on the tap to insert the new cartridge, without turning off the main water supply. Essential Minerals: Both filters retain essential minerals dissolved in the water, such as calcium and magnesium.
