The Ferroli ECOPUFFER HP 80 buffer tank is a high-performance technical solution designed to optimize the operation of heating and air conditioning systems, particularly when paired with a heat pump (aerothermal system). It is constructed from robust, non-enameled carbon steel (black steel), making it ideal for storing technical heating water, chilled water, or glycol-water mixtures.
Installation type: Wall-mounted (suspended via included wall brackets), though this model also offers the flexibility of floor-standing installation using adjustable feet.
Insulation: Features a 30 mm layer of high-density injected polyurethane foam to minimize heat loss (thermal dispersion of 61.7 W). It provides hydraulic separation, allowing the flow rates in the primary circuit (the generator) and the secondary circuit (the emitters, such as radiators or underfloor heating) to operate completely independently. An inertia tank (buffer tank) ensures the minimum volume of water required by heat pumps, thereby preventing frequent, unnecessary compressor start-ups—a phenomenon known as "short-cycling"—which significantly extends the service life of your equipment.
