Midea Air Conditioning unveiled a robust portfolio of sustainable innovations at C&R 2025, Spain's leading trade fair for air conditioning, heating, cooling, and ventilation professionals. New products include Midea's R290 series, the ECOMASTER system, the PortaSplit portable unit, and the H-Pack modular solution, showcasing the group's leadership in energy efficiency, natural refrigerants, and intelligent climate control. The R290 series embodies the brand's "GREEN VISION BLUE FUTURE" philosophy.

Recognized as the world's first manufacturer to commercialize air conditioners using R290 refrigerant, Midea began this journey in 2010 with a UN-funded pilot line. The company now operates 12 advanced production lines with an annual capacity of 6.4 million units. Midea's R290 solutions have been widely adopted internationally, making a significant contribution to reducing carbon emissions and influencing global standards in favor of environmentally friendly refrigerants.

Backed by a research force of over 10,000 engineers and 42 pilot laboratories, Midea has developed a comprehensive range of R290 products covering the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, in line with its strategy to make green technology accessible and scalable. Another highlight is ECOMASTER, an artificial intelligence (AI) system dedicated to energy savings, which optimizes the performance of Midea appliances, including air conditioners, to reduce electricity consumption.

By continuously monitoring indoor conditions and outdoor weather forecasts, ECOMASTER makes real-time adjustments with a tolerance of ±0.3°C. This system ensures consistent comfort while optimizing energy use, resulting in savings of over 30%. Integrated into models such as Solstice and Solunar, this system sets new standards for efficiency.

Solstice boasts an A+++ rating for cooling and A++ for heating, while Solunar achieves A++ and A+ respectively, embodying the new generation of smart and sustainable air conditioners. The PortaSplit portable unit also generated considerable interest. Designed for high performance and flexible installation, it features a SEER of 6.1 and a SCOP of 4.0. Its design adapts to a variety of European windows, including French balconies, attics, and horizontal sliding doors.

This versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of residential styles, from contemporary apartments to heritage buildings. Demonstrations at the booth highlighted its tool-free, three-step installation, which has already generated strong demand and a sold-out launch in France. Midea also presented the H-Pack, a compact heating solution selected for the C&R 2025 Innovation Gallery, highlighting low GWP refrigerants, digital control and circular economy principles.

Designed by Midea's European R&D team, the H-Pack uses the environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant and requires no outdoor unit. Its modular design, ready for indoor installation, ensures optimal compatibility with gas boiler systems while simplifying installation and maintenance. Combining efficiency, versatility, and space saving, it offers an economical approach to modern heating.

Live demonstrations conducted by German experts illustrated the H-Pack's user-friendliness and its tangible benefits in real-world conditions. Beyond product innovation, Midea fostered professional engagement through interactive workshops throughout the event, promoting technical exchange and industry collaboration.
