GUTCAL8 Expansion Tank for Heating, 8 L / 3/4" - 6 Bar
The expansion tank absorbs the increase in pressure produced when the water is heated. Inside, there are two chambers separated by an elastomer. One of the chambers is in contact with the water in the circuit, while the other contains pressurized inert gas. When the water pressure increases, the elastomer allows the water chamber to expand, compressing the gas. The gas, in turn, exerts pressure in the opposite direction, allowing the heating system to remain pressurized while allowing a small change in volume.
