The self-cleaning indoor unit features a cleaning mode that prevents mold and odor growth. By activating the self-cleaning function via the wireless remote included with each unit, you can perform preventative maintenance to avoid unpleasant odors and mold development. This mode lasts approximately 30 minutes, during which the unit cannot be used for heating or cooling.
