Unlike the normal self-cleaning and cleaning mode, in the 56°C sterilization mode, the heat exchanger is frozen in the cooling mode at 56°C for 30 to 60 minutes, thus destroying up to 99.9% of the harmful organisms in the heat exchanger of the indoor unit.
