The Hitachi AirHome 600, the new 3-in-1 smart air-to-air heat pump, heater, air conditioner, and air purifier, reinvents the air-to-air heat pump and introduces the airHome 600: the smart 3-in-1 wall-mounted single-split unit that heats, cools, and purifies the ambient air without compromise. At the forefront of technology, the unit benefits from four exclusive features directly related to air treatment. It also integrates smart controls for connected and personalized comfort.

Thanks to its width of only 78 cm, the unit integrates easily into interiors. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for both new construction and renovation projects. With a very low noise level, starting at 19 dB(A) depending on the model, its operation ensures acoustic comfort. The AirHome 600 is a state-of-the-art air-to-air heat pump: the unit benefits from four exclusive, integrated features as standard, directly related to air treatment. The indoor unit is equipped with an ionization system, AQtiv Ion, which disperses negative ions to neutralize up to 99.9%* of pollutants in the room (SARS-CoV-2 virus and other viruses, bacteria, dust mites, allergens, odors). This new system provides purified air year-round and creates a feeling of well-being at home.

Also equipped with an innovative and highly effective zinc pyrithione anti-virus filter, more than 99% effective against bacteria and viruses including SARS-CoV-2, the airHome 600 heat pump guarantees a healthier environment. The AirHome 600 incorporates Hitachi's exclusive FrostWash technology, which enables self-cleaning of the heat exchanger. Over time, dust, which promotes bacterial growth, accumulates on the heat exchanger of indoor air conditioning units, restricting airflow and reducing performance. To eliminate this problem, the indoor unit crystallizes the impurities that have frozen onto the surface of the heat exchanger, causing them to clump together. A defrost cycle then begins, allowing the dust to be flushed away via the condensate drain.

FrostWash guarantees up to 94% of the product's performance over the long term. Without this technology, a similar product sees its performance reduced by 18% after two years of operation. Finally, the "Mold Guard" function aims to perform preventative drying of the heat exchanger to avoid residual moisture that can lead to mold and bacterial growth. A dry heat exchanger, even during peak summer air conditioning usage, guarantees healthier air.
